My Life Story: The Next Chapter (click to view video)

My Life Story

The inaugural event, then titled Her Life Story, debuted on August 3rd, 2013.  Kelli, Ruby and Tammy, bravely shared with my audience of their individual painful life experiences of dealing with attempted spousal suicide, abortion and the death of a young child.  Each of these women are to be commended for the strength it not only took to live through these moments but also in sharing them so that others could see what the other side of pain looks like.

This event was given media coverage by local news anchor, Pam Saulsby of WNCN 17-NBC and was featured on her “Pam Cam” community segment.  Due to the overwhelming response of male attendees to this inaugural event to have stories from the male perspective, it was decided to change the name to My Life Story to be gender inclusive.

  8. I thoroughly enjoyed this event. It was very touching and inspirational. I would like to tell my auntie, Tonita, how wonderful of a job she did coordinating and orchestrating the entire night. The ambiance was just right, the food was delicious, and I couldn’t help but tap my foot and rock a little bit to the music. I am very proud to say that MY auntie did this. And by “did this” I mean succeeding in finding her purpose and using it to touch other people’s lives. Love you Auntie!! :)
